It was more than 20 years ago that I put my best study on the musical instrument that I love into a compilation of recordings that I would call "Songs From The Afterlife." An album compilation only on audio cassette in which I would perform and engineer the sounds of many kinds of kalimba's with an ear that I believed unique to my own soul. I wanted to bring out vibrations and virtuosity with these instruments that I did not hear anywhere else. Ofcourse I was inspired by all the previous masters in Kalimba, M'bira and Sanza history but my own voice with this instrument was so strong and captivating, spiritual and trancendent I was compelled to find my deepest self as a musician and recording artist.
When life tried to pull me away I never gave up my voice and now I am remaking these "Songs From The Afterlife" with added tracks, some added instruments and great musical desire to inspire with creation. Professionals involved with health and therapy used this album in the early 1990's and soon I will be happy to release it again with its new birth in sound. I am leaving many songs untouched while adding to some with talents I have gained with the passage of time. I will have more to say about my most sacred music in weeks to come.
